You can request a prescription online by clicking on the button below and following all the prompts. Alternatively you can ring 03 548 0918. Repeat prescriptions require 48 hours to prepare. Advise us if you require your script more urgently however this will incur an extra fee.
If you are a new patient or have not previously been given your medication regularly by Nelson Family Medicine you must be seen first. Repeat prescriptions for some medication may be obtained without making an appointment to see your doctor, but this is always at the doctor’s discretion. The final decision on types and amounts of medications supplied on repeat prescription is up to your Doctor. Therefore you may be asked to attend for a consultation before receiving your medication. We generally do not provide repeats if it is some time since you were last seen or if your medication was changed at your last visit.
An appointment is always needed for certain medications eg antibiotics. Whichever way you order your medication we will contact you if an appointment is necessary.
If you order online you will be notified electronically about when the medication is ready for pick-up.
