Prescription requests
You can request a prescription by calling us at the Practise on 03 548 0918.
Alternatively, you can go through our new online portal with Well NZ. We’ve selected Well NZ as we believe it is the easiest online system for our patients to use. Before you can request any prescriptions you will need to enrol with Well NZ, you can do this by clicking the button below, or downloading the Well NZ app from the App Store or Google Play. When. you are registering please make sure you use our Invite Code, which is NFMEDI.
Repeat prescriptions require 48 hours to prepare. Advise us if you require your script more urgently however this will incur an extra fee.

If you are a new patient or have not previously been given your medication regularly by Nelson Family Medicine you must be seen first. Repeat prescriptions for some medication may be obtained without making an appointment to see your doctor, but this is always at the doctor’s discretion. Also Repeat prescriptions require 48 hours to prepare so please advise us if you require your script more urgently, however this will incur an extra fee.
The final decision on types and amounts of medications supplied on repeat prescription is up to your Doctor. Therefore you may be asked to attend for a consultation before receiving your medication. We generally do not provide repeats if it is some time since you were last seen or if your medication was changed at your last visit.
